Dog Training Programs                   
                                                 

 Multi National K9 has a number of set dog training Programs for your dog, we can
 also customize a special Program to suit your needs. Multi National K9 will provide
 you with excellent Guarantees and after training service and maintenance once you
 dog completes the Program.
 
 When you arrive at the kennels with your dog you will receive a consultation of your
 dog’s problems and training needs. You will then be given an appointment for pick
 up of your trained dog. During your dogs stay at MNK9 he will receive a Hydro bath
 on entry and exit. Your dog will have his own kennel and an excellent diet of fresh
 chicken, Kangaroo, biscuits and gravy each day. You can also contact the trainers
 direct for daily progress reports to see how he settled in and how the dog is going
 with the training.
 
 When you arrive back at MNK9 you will receive a full consultation on how the dog
 went with the training and problem solving. We will advise you of a home Program
 to continue the training with your dog. You will then accompany the trainer to the
 dog obedience field where you will see a full demonstration of your dog. After the
 demo you will be shown how to handle the dog and continue the training at home.
 
 Training Guarantees and support for the life of the dog
 1. Phone support 7 days a week for any behavioral or training problems.
 2. Free private lessons if you are having trouble working with your dog.
 3. Your dog receives free maintenance training each time he boards.
 4. If your dog does not achieve the training standard during the Program up to an
 extra seven days of training will be given free of charge.
 5. Dogs that fail the training Program will be free of all training costs.

 Dog Training Programs
 
 Obedience Program Basic 7 days on lead
 This is be far the most popular Program, in the seven days your dog will learn to
 walk beside you on a loose lead {HEEL} covering left, right and about turns. When
 the handler stops the dog will automatic sit. The dog will stay on command and/or
 hand signal, on the command come the dog will come and sit in front of the handler.
 The dog will then return to heel position on command. The last exercise the dog is
 taught is to lay down {DROP} on voice or hand signal.
 
 Obedience Program intermediate 14 day

 This Program covers all the exercises in the 7 day Program, the extra week will make
 the dog more refined and sharper. The last 7 days the trainer works on developing a
 foundation for off lead obedience and conditions the dog to work around heavy
 distractions in different environments.
 
 Obedience Program advanced 21 day

 This Program will cover all in the basic and intermediate Program with the final week
 covering off lead obedience in heel, sit, stay, drop, come and recall.
 
 Problem solving Program 3 to 7 days

 This Program is to address the many behavioral problems dogs have, the duration of
 the Program depends on the problem and is charged at a daily rate. You also receive
 a full consultation at the completion of training.

 Barking, dependency, digging holes, jumping fences, jumping on people, chewing,
 animal aggression, toilet training etc.
 
 Bait Proofing 7 days

 We train your dog to only eat out of his food bowl, he must sit and wait for the
 command to eat. The dog is taught not to eat food off the ground or from a persons
 hand. A full home training Program must be maintained after training to ensure the
 dog will never touch a bait.
 
 Personal Protection Programs
 
 Before the dog can be booked in for protection training the dog must be able to do
 basic obedience and pass a full evaluation to ensure the dog is stable and suitable for
 training. MNK9 do not use obsolete arm pads for training law enforcement dogs. All
 dogs trained in bite work are trained on a full body bite suit, concealed {hidden}
 arms and Basket {riot} muzzle.
 
 Evaluation & Private lesson One hour

 The trainer will go through several tests with your dog to get a profile on the potential
 of your dog in training. After the evaluation the dog will go through a private lesson
 to develop his confidence. On completion you will be advised on how to develop the
 dog at home or you may leave the dog at MNK9 for the foundation training.
 
 Foundation Program 7 day

 The foundation Program is an extension of the evaluation, the dog will be exposed to a
 professional decoy to raise his suspicion level and confidence. The dog will be
 agitated from a distance and from behind a fence with experienced dogs in other
 kennels. As the dogs drive and confidence increases he will then be worked on lead
 with a handler to develop further. The confidence and strong suspicion level
 developed is essential for future training. You will see a demonstration at the end of
 the Program and have the option for the dog to stay and start the next stage or develop
 him at home.
 
 Watch dog Program 7 days

 This seven day Program is to develop the dog’s aggression behind a fenced area and
 to bark on command. No bite work is taught in the watch dog Program.
 
 Family/Personal protection Program 14 days

 In this Program we teach the dog to show a good level of aggression behind the fence
 to stop persons entering enclosure and bark on command or threat to the handler.
 The dog will also bite on command or threat to the handler. During the training the
 dog’s bite is developed on the body bite suit to bite on the lower and upper arm or
 armpit and release from the bite on command.
 Full demonstration and handler training given on completion of training.

 Security Patrol Program 21 day

 Dogs entering into this Program must have already completed the basic obedience
 and foundation Program. The dog is taught firstly as a full personal protection dog
 and will attack on command or threat. The dog will work on the full body bite suit
 for upper body and leg bites. The dog is also trained on the concealed arms and
 basket muzzle. Other exercises we teach your dog is to drop and stay during a
 prisoner pat down and prisoner escort {5 paces behind or side transport}. The dog
 will attack without command if the prisoner tries to escape or attacks the handler.

 During this Program the dog is conditioned to work in different areas and conditions
 such as inside buildings and on slippery floors etc.
 
 Tracking Program foundation 14 day

 The foundation tracking Program is to teach the dog to locate human odor and follow
 the track and air born scent to the person. The dog will start off doing small tracks
 on open land and develop to much more difficult and longer tracks. The dog will be
 taught to cast to locate the track and also to remain track true and disregard cross
 tracks from other persons.
 On completion of the Program the handler will undergo a full consultation and
 instruction to continue the dogs training.
 
 Tracking Program complete 42 days

 This complete training Program will fully train your dog as a tracking dog covering
 basic and advanced urban tracking. The dog will be taught scent discrimination,
 tracking on different surfaces and utilizing air born scent. This Program also includes
 several private lessons for the handler.
 
 Search and Rescue Program 30 to 90 days

 The S&R training is formatted for the individual needs of the handler. The dog can
 either be taught as a S&R dog for tracking and man trailing or be trained as a
 specialist dog with as little as one talent.

 Cadaver dog trained to locate human remains under water or in bush graves etc.
 Mostly used to locate murder or suicide victims, lost bush walkers or to locate body
 parts at a murder scene.
 
 Urban Rescue dog is trained to locate living victims of a building collapse or
 avalanche , the dog is taught to locate where the person is buried and indicate to the
 handler.
  
 Narcotic Detection dog Program 30 to 90 days

 The first stage of this Program is a 7 day evaluation in kennel to establish if the dog is
 a suitable candidate for detection training. If the dog passes the 7 day comprehensive
 evaluation he can then start the training Program. The dog is taught to locate with a
 passive or aggressive alert the presence of either or all of the following;
 Marijuana, cocaine, Heroin, Amphetamines. During the training Program the dog will
 be locating as little as 1ml of odor and conditioned in scent saturated areas. The dog
 will be locating odor hidden in vehicles, buildings and open area searches. Handler
 training at the completion of the Program is also included.
 
 Firearm dogs 30 days

 Once the dog has completed the first 7 day evaluation the dog can then start the
 firearm Program. The dog is taught to locate guns, rifles and used and unused
 ammunition. The indication the dog will be taught is either passive {sit or drop} or
 alert the handler by barking.
 
 Other Programs

 MNK9 will format a complete detection Program for your requirements. Dogs can be
 trained on nearly any odor for industry, law enforcement or evidence. Other Program
 can range from Termite detection, contamination, chemicals, gas lines etc.
